International airports

There are two relevant airports in the Stockholm region which are relevant for the REV2010 conference: Arlanda airport and Skavsta airport.

The transportation possibilities with train or coach are listed below; of course you can also use taxi and varies from company to company, but a reasonable price shall be in the range SEK 400-500. Always agree the price with the driver before using a taxi; there are people who have been charged amounts four or five times the indicated range prices.

Arlanda airport

Arlanda airport is used by most large air companies: terminal 5 are used by most companies, but many flights also arrives to and leaves from terminal 2.

There are trains between Arlanda airport and Stocholm Central Station about every 15th minute with Arlanda Express. The price for a single trip is usually SEK 240 (SEK 120 for those <26 years of age or >64 years of age); often there is an offer for SEK 240 for two persons treavel together. There is one station at terminal 5 and another station at terminal 2.

There are airport coahces between Arlanda airport and Stockholm City Terminal about every 10th or 15th minute with Flygbussarna/Airport Coaches. The price for a single trip is SEK 119 (SEK 89 for those <64 years of age); it is a little cheaper with an E-ticket bought through internet but it might not be worth the complication.

Skavsta airport

Skavsta airport is used by Ryanair and Wizz Air (the latter having eleven operating bases in the region of Central and Eastern Europe: Katowice, Warsaw, Gdansk and Poznan in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Sofia in Bulgaria, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara in Romania, Kyiv in Ukraine and Prague in Czech Republic).

There are airport coahces between Skavsta airport and Stockholm City Terminal about every 15th minute with one of Flygbussarna/Airport Coachesand Fly by Coach. The price for a single trip with Flygbussarna is SEK 99 (SEK 89 for those <64 years of age); it is a little cheaper with an E-ticket bought through internet but it might not be worth the complication.
